Is Venus Diamond Flow based on the traditional monomers BisGMA, TEGDMA, HEMA?
Venus Diamond Flow is related on molecules. Venus Diamond Flow is based on difunctional methacrylate monomers (UDMA, EBADMA)
top
Is it compatible with other composites and bonding agents?
Venus Diamond Flow can be combined with all commercially available (meth)acrylate based composites. All HKG composites and adhesive products can be used with Venus Diamond Flow.
top
What is the filler content?
Venus Diamond Flow contains approximately 65 % by weight, or 41 % by volume inorganic fillers such as Ba-AI-F silicate glass, YbF3 and SiO2. The filler particle size is between 0.02 μm and 5 μm.
top
Can it be used for cementing veneers.
Cementing veneers is not indicated.
top
Is it radio opaque?
Yes! Venus Diamond Flow fillings are easily recognized on X-rays.
top
Does it cause allergic reactions?
This product or one of its components may in particular cases cause hypersensitive reactions. If suspected, information on the ingredients can be obtained from Heraeus.
top
Is it indicated for placing brackets?
Placing brackets is not particularly indicated, but the material can be used for that indication at one's own risk.
top
Does it release fluoride?
No, there is no fluoride release.
top
Does it contain nano particles, what is the effect of the nano particles?
Nano particles based on SiO2 are included in the filler system for a reduced shrinkage and for improved aesthetic properties.
top
Does it have the same chemistry like Venus Diamond?
Venus Diamond Flow is based on the same concept, but has not the same chemistry like Venus Diamond.
top
What is the recommended curing time?
Halogen and LED light-curing units must produce at least 550 mW / cm². Plasma units must produce at least 1200 mW / cm² in order to reduce the polymerization time and cure the composite in full. All shades must be polymerized for 20 sec. A reduced polymerization time or light intensity is not recommended as the composite may not cure in full.

Venus Diamond Flow possesses a combination of high flexural strength and low shrinkage stress. This makes the restoration more resistant and more durable.
top
Does it fit the Venus Diamond shade concept?
Venus Diamond Flow perfectly fits the Venus Diamond shade concept.
top
What is the baseliner for?
The baseliner forms a bath-shaped floor in the cavity with margins tapering upwards and towards the cavity walls. This rounded shape forms a dense seal with the bonding agent and the composite used for filling the cavity completely. The opaque white shade may be an advantage to detect the margin of the restoration.
