Venus Temp C&B Application

Step-by-Step Provisional Guide

1. Push release lever upward while pulling the plunger back into the dispenser handle.

2. Lift top cartridge locking clasp, insert cartridge with v-shaped notch facing down, close locking clasp onto disepenser gun.

3. Remove the cartridge cap and discard. Confirm both base and catalyst cartridge openings are free from obstruction. If plug exists, limiting flow of material, clear with an instrument. Before a mixing tip is applied for the first time, dispense a small amount of material until both base and catalyst are extruded.

4. Install a new automix tip with a sideways turning movement, locking the tip in place. Load the 10:1 dispensing gun with the prepared cartridge to begin dispensing. Venus Temp C&B is automatically mixed when dispensed with slight and even pressure.

5. Take a preliminary impression before preparing teeth or before a planned tooth extraction. Using a silicone impression material (Flexitime®, Flexitime Xtreme® or aliginate.)

6. Remove impression and examine. Carve out interdental areas where needed.

7. With a new automix tip in place and prior to each applcation, dispense a small amount of material (pea-sized) this material. Without delay, load the impression with Venus Temp C&B from the bottom upwards to avoid air bubbles.

8. Seat the impression onto the prepared areas of the teeth which must be done within 60seconds. After 1-2minutes in the mouth, material shows a hardened but still elastic condition and can be removed from the teeth.

9. Allow for final cure (bench cure) outside the mouth.

10. Technique Tip: When fabricating larbe temporaries the precision cab be further improved by placing them back in the impression until setting is complete.

11. Once material is fully cured, remove oxygen inhibited layer with alcohol. Remove excess material and proximal undercuts, and refine with rotary instruments. As deemed necessary, polish to a high gloss.

12. Venus Temp C&B temporary restorations should be cemented with a eugenol-free temporary cement. After cementation carefully examine the sulcus and surrounding dentition to carefully remove any residual provisional material or temporary cement.
